rise n’shine

woke up at 8.30am for breakfast at Dempsey x Movie @ NEX before boy booked it at night. been waking up at 8am n’going to bed at 10pm so I’ll be able to wake up earlier during the weekends for better things. it takes more than I thought to force myself to fall asleep n’continue sleep when I wake up halfway for no apparent reason.
surprised by the queue waiting for tables when we reached there but the queue was made up of mostly foreigners. good to see so many waking up early w/ their kids or dogs (I typed gods -___-”).

in case i forgot the spelling..

  Jones Breakfast?

Forgot what is it called but it’s at the top of the menu. a typical Australian breakfast w/ sausages, bacon, bread n’eggs cooked just the way you want it. you’re sure to leave the place full n’satisfied.

  f l u f f y pancakes x

the pancakes I made at home is always flat as the pan. there’s something about pancake’s fluffiness that makes it so hard to achieve. this however is the fluffiest I’ve ever tried and desiccated coconut contributed to it’s sweetness.

 [ strawberry x banana milkshake ]

not a fan of banana. this shake is no exception. anything a banana lover’d prefer is something I don’t. can’t take the fragrance. it’s like durian to me. except that I love durian to death.

 Till Saturday morning x

Sunday Breakfast @ IKEA

Breakfast should be corrected to feast. Every week we order enough food to last me till dinner or it's just me with a small stomach.

IKEA THIS WEEK!

By the time we were there it was past breakfast time.
After so many SB, we realized Singaporeans aren't morning people and wake up
late.

I'm a fan of IKEA's meatball! Haven't try any better than their's.
Every time I order, I'll request from more jam.
Love berries (Y)

A trolley filled with food!

Couldn't finish everything, I brought the cheesecake home for dinner.
Even though I'm lactose intolerant, I can't resist the goodness of thick and creamy cheesecake!
And I always return home with bloated tummy :(

Total.

Sunday Breakfast @ Toast Box

We're coming to an end from having breakfast at east side's mall. Running out of things to eat! It's like we walk passed Swensen's and go, "Ohh, we had this one 1st Sunday Breakfast. American breakfast. What's next?"

This time we go for something that's economical compared to the previous. Like who spend $20 on breakfast all the time?! Must be realistic. Save. Splurge. Save.

Toast box @ Tampines 1.

Yes. It's Tampines 1 again. Toast Box have perfect lighting for photos. Barely need any editing.

Photobucket
Old school cake!

I'm a lover of vintage and anything old school. Even cakes like this! It's so difficult to find these when everybody is succumbing to the modern/ 'improving'. All the cakes now look like Breaktalk's or The icing room's.

I WANT OLD SCHOOL CAKES! I'll just bake one. Maybe buying them from Bedok will be easier.

Photobucket
Order at counter and collect number tag.

Photobucket
Preparation in the open.

Any idea what is that hill of yellow thing? Butter?

Photobucket
Drinks and eggs to collect at counter.

Photobucket
Here comes the bread!

Photobucket
Half boiled eggs made to perfection.

Most people have problem making half boiled eggs like this.
Tips: Use more than enough boiling hot water and put in room temperature (not fridge eggs) egg with lid on for 4 minutes.

Photobucket
$9.80.

Now to think of coming Sunday Breakfast venue!

Sunday Breakfast @ Imperial Treasure

Since the 1st Sunday Breakfast I've been hoping for dim sum but didn't know if Andy eats it or not. Like I said la! We're one more picky than another. Can fill an A4 size using arial font 12 with what we don't eat.

Ok, that's a good idea. Do a list when I'm free and blog about it so you guys will believe me but before that it's our Chinese breakfast!

Fancl Calorie Limit

Don't know if it really works but still bought it anyway so I can eat as much as I want and when someone says, "later you fat." I'll throw one sachet right into their face then go, "I DON"T GIVE A SHIT!" With or without, I don't care. Just eat! Diet tomorrow.

Inside the sachet.

These 4 tablets are said to curb the total calorie intake from food and blocks the body's absorption of fats, sugar and excess carbohydrates. To be taken before high crabs meal.

Receipt after every order is made.

Warm soy bean - $1.80

Mark your order.

We ordered..

Char siew sou - $3.30

Char siew rice roll - $4.50

Egg tart - $3

bou luo char siew bao/ baked BBQ pork bun - $3.60

Bou luo simply means pineapple in Chinese but there's no pineapple inside. It's named so cause the top is made to look like a pineapple.

This bao was a wrong order that turned out pretty yummeh! And they look like Maple Story mushroom, don't you think so?

More order..

Siew mai - $4.

Har gao - $4.40

By the time we finished eating there was a train of queue outside so if you wanna have dim sum here, come at 10.30am or call for reservation. 11am won't work either.

Total bill.

$41.20 for dim sum and great service is reasonable!! Plus there were 2 of us. If you do your math it's only $20.60.
